Relearning
In her 2007
book The
How of Happiness, positive psychology researcher Sonja Lyubomirsky elaborates,
describing happiness as “the experience of joy, contentment, or positive
well-being, combined with a sense that one’s life is good, meaningful, and
worthwhile.”
But we are
always in the state of worrying, and most of the time we are with negative
feelings and missing the thing called joy. Most of us don’t know when we were
happy last time .There is a Urdu poem written by Mirza Khalib. It says
” peace and joy
are our friends for few seconds only”.
All religions teach us the way to be happy.
But are we happy and enjoying most of our life time? Some religion advices to bear the pain of
sufferings, so that we can be happy in the heaven or next birth after death.
Some religion says that “Be without wishes”. Wishes are the root cause of all
worries”. Some says Enjoyment is the seed of unhappiness. Can we live without
needs, ambitions, goals, wishes and aims? Practically it is not possible.
There are so
many books on Self Development on How to achieve? How to win? How to reach
target? And so on. The religious books preach the way to Enlighten, to get
place in the heaven, or better life in the next birth, or to cease the further
birth.
This Serial is
not religious or philosophical one like them.
We are studying the Happiness and Enjoyment on scientific way
particularly Psychological, Physiological, Nutritional and Emotional platforms.
We are finding the way to be happy in most of our life time.

Relearning? Or
we forgot? You may ask. Yes we have forgotten so many things during the course
of busy schedules and commitments. Most
important are Happiness, and the way how to enjoy? This may surprise you. But
yes you have forgotten to enjoy small, small things in our life. We have
forgotten how to enjoy during eating food, watching film, enjoying places and
nature, company of a friend, enjoying a tour, situation of school, and company
of relatives, and we found nothing brings happiness. Yes we have forgotten our
natural sense of happiness and way of enjoying the things.
Just remember
how you enjoyed a small candy when you are five years old? It did not did not
dissolve in your saliva more than half an hour. You were tasting and enjoying
its sweetness and flavour for more than half an hour. But that same candy won’t
exist more than few second, and also you will forget to enjoy the sweetness and
flavour even on that few seconds, by mind preoccupied by worries of daily life.
When we saw films in our teens, we not only enjoyed them, we will remember each
and every scene in the film, even today, after so many years. But today we feel
difficult to watch a complete movie, without deviation of mind. We forget the
name of the movie seen yesterday.
So we have to
relearn the things which we have forgotten. Yes to learn how to be happy and
enjoy everything in scientific way. Is it hard to learn or to be happy? No. It
is hard to worry than to be happy. We can enjoy every minute of our life time.
This Serial explains the Psychological,
Physiological, Nutritional, emotional and some practical methods to achieve
this relearning process.
At the end of
this Serial you will understand about Art of Enjoying Life. If you follow the hints
given at the end of each Chapter, you can enjoy your whole life time and start
loving your world.
